Nets trade Edwards to Kings
Brooklyn has acquired the draft rights to David Michineau from Sacramento in exchange for forward Kessler Edwards and cash considerations.

Nets reportedly not planning to deal Durant
Brooklyn started a roster overhaul of sorts by trading All-Star guard on Monday. The chances of the Nets continuing that trend by dealing All-Star forward Kevin Durant, however, seem to be fading. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Nets and Durant are having ongoing conversations about the team’s direction, but the organization has thus far told teams seeking to trade for Durant they are not planning to deal him.
Durant had shown interest in a possible trade to Phoenix last summer, but per Wojnarowski, the Nets haven’t shown any willingness to deal the former Kia MVP to that locale or anywhere else.

Report: Clippers looking to add veteran guard
At 31-26, the LA Clippers are No. 4 in the Western Conference, but just three games behind Memphis for No. 2. As they ready for the stretch run of the season, Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reports the Clippers are interested in acquiring a veteran guard and have been showing interest in acquiring Toronto’s Fred VanVleet, Miami’s Kyle Lowry, Charlotte’s Terry Rozier and Minnesota’s D’Angelo Russell.

Heat trade Dedmon to Spurs
The Miami Heat have freed up a spot on their frontline by trading veteran center Dewayne Dedmon to San Antonio. In the deal, the Heat send Dedmon and a second-round pick to the Spurs for cash considerations. Per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the move was not unexpected and it frees up space under the luxury tax line to add two players.

Jazz reportedly not open to trading 3 players
Via Tim MacMahon of ESPN, the Utah Jazz are letting teams know that trades centered on All-Star forward Lauri Markkanen and youngsters Walker Kessler and Ochai Agbaji are non-starters for them. However, Jazz veterans Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, Jarred Vanderbilt, Kelly Olynyk and Mailk Beasley have stirred some trade interest, MacMahon reports.

Durant declines to comment after Nets game
Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has been out of the team’s lineup since mid-January because of a right MCL injury. During that time, Kyrie Irving was dealt to Dallas and Durant’s name has been mentioned in some trade chatter. Per ESPN’s Nick Friedell, Durant was seated on the Nets’ bench for last night’s 124-116 home loss to the LA Clippers and declined to talk to reporters as he left the arena.

Reports: Nets interested in Siakam, Anunoby
After acquiring Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith and future Draft picks in the Kyrie Irving trade, the Brooklyn Nets are reportedly interested in some more deals. Per veteran NBA reporter Marc Stein and Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.com, the Nets are interested in trading for Toronto Raptors star forward Pascal Siakam and have interest in defensive-minded swingman OG Anunoby as well.

LeBron ‘disappointed’ after Lakers didn’t trade for Irving
The Los Angeles Lakers ultimately lost out on acquiring Kyrie Irving once he was available via trade as the All-Star guard ended up with the Dallas Mavericks. Lakers star LeBron James spoke with ESPN’s Michael Wilbon on Monday and said he was “disappointed” in the trade not happening, but is focusing on finishing the season strong. “I can’t sit here and say I’m not disappointed on not being able to land such a talent, but [also] someone that I had great chemistry with, and know I got great chemistry with on the floor, that can help you win championships, in my mind, in my eyes,” he said. “But my focus is shifted now. My focus is shifted back to where it should be and that’s this club now and what we have in the locker room.”
